A's third baseman Josh Donaldson has been voted the Budweiser Presents American League Player of the Month for September.
Donaldson batted .337 (30-for-89) with eight doubles, five home runs, 16 RBI and 20 runs scored in 25 games to claim his first career Player of the Month Award and the first for the A's since Eric Chavez in September 2001. Among AL leaders with a minimum of 78 plate appearances during the period, the 27-year-old finished third in runs scored, on-base percentage (.449) and slugging percentage (.596), fourth in walks (16), seventh in batting average and tied for 10th in doubles.
Oh, and let's not forget his amazing number of multi-hit games!"
