Hero Cat Saves Boy from Dog Attack ... (video)

This is for ANYONE who ever said or EVER even thought for a second that cats are somehow inferior to dogs - in their loyalty or their intelligence or in ANY way - ha! Y'all suck! Cats are freakin' AWESOME! I can't believe I didn't see this sooner being a crazy cat lady! Now Tara, the Hero Cat, gets to (with a little help - let's face it people, dogs can't throw baseballs either!) "throw" out the first pitch at the Bakersfield Blaze game (Triple-A Cincinnati Reds' affiliate) on May 20th. Now, when has a dog ever gotten to do that?! (oh and don't get me wrong, I love my dog too but really, cats get a bad rap sometimes. Did you ever stop to think that maybe they are just smarter than you? lol!!)

Prospect George Springer to Join Astros Wednesday

The highly touted and prized prospect George Springer says that he is going to be joining the Houston Astros for his first stint in the big leagues on Wednesday. The club has not officially announced his promotion from Triple-A Oklahoma City but according to the 24-year old he’s headed to Houston. Of course that means that someone will have to switch places with him and the Houston Chronicle reports that it will be outfielderRobbie Grossman who will be sent down. The paper also reported that pitcher Lucas Harrell will be designated for assignment.

A's Prospect Billy Burns is so fast he'll make you say "Billy Hamilton who?"

This isn’t the first time I’ve mentioned Oakland A’s prospect Billy Burns on Outside Pitch Sports Network, so it’s no secret I have some bias towards this kid. It’s just that, man, he is a joy to watch. In fact I made the bold prediction that he would make the Oakland Athletics’ opening day roster. While that didn’t happen – although he was kept up with the team until the very last second – and he is starting out the year in Midland Texas with the A’s Double-A Affiliate Rockhounds, don’t be surprised if he sprints all the way up to the majors by September. That is exactly what Billy Burns does. He sprints. If you think that Cincinnati Reds’ outfielder Billy Hamilton is fast, then you need to see Billy Burns play in person.
