Sports Unbiased - I am now the Lead American League Writer for the League Feed!!

So I've been informed that I will now be in charge of a part of The League Feed on Sports Unbiased. Which means a couple of things (and in a way it is more responsibility so really it is a promotion!!!!) - I will NOT be posting every article I write on this blog. All feature articles will be posted here on my blog with their respective links, but The League Feed on Sports Unbiased covers specifically breaking news, trades/transactions, contract signings/extensions and injury reports. So if you want to know what the latest is in Major League Baseball's American League be sure to remember this link:

Just wanted to put this new development in my budding writing career out there so you won't miss a beat. Especially when some of them are short, breaking stories where there is actually little information available!

So PLEASE if you enjoy my writing and want to keep updated on the latest news for the American League - subscribe to the feed and I PROMISE to keep you informed .... Having just received this promotion today I will post the link to my first American League piece on Sports Unbiased League Feed

Breaking News: Santana to go to Jays or Orioles!

For the last big free agent left on the market and with MLB’s Opening Day fast approaching it’s looking like a soap opera of events are about to hit the fan. Sources say that Ervin Santana, who fired his agent last night, has narrowed the teams he may sign with down to the Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles. It has also been said that Santana has set a self-imposed deadline to make a decision by 5:00 PM Eastern Time today.

UPDATE: 5PM ET
Earlier Ervin Santana had a self-imposed deadline of 5pm ET to decide what was believed to be a contract with either the Orioles or Blue Jays. According to @JonMorosi and @MaxWildsteinMLB the deadline has been lifted (obviously by Santana LOL!) and the saga shall continue! My question is did he receive another offer??? hmmm ....

Get ready for this one folks, it is going to be a huge shock. Japanese phenom, RHP Masahiro Tanaka, has finally chosen a home – a home in New York. This winter’s most coveted free agent has signed with the New York Yankees at least according to a source who passed the breaking news on to ESPN’s Buster Onley.
The contract is reportedly a seven year deal worth $155 million with a club opt-out after four years and is the fifth largest ever for a pitcher. Apparently the Yankees are sparing no expense in order to return to their former dominance. The Yankees missed the post season in 2013 for just the second time since 1995.
Having been on a winter spending spree by already signing OF Jacoby Ellsbury, OF Carlos Beltran, and catcher Brian McCann to lucrative deals, it’s no surprise that the Yankees went after Tanaka. All four of those contracts combined comes to around $438 million.
